Migrating data to X.com

Recently, X (previously Twitter) has officially changed their domain from twitter.com to x.com. If you've already installed SuperX on twitter.com (before the domain change), you won't be able to see previous analytics on x.com.

This guide will help you move data from twitter.com to x.com.

Before getting started, make sure you have the latest SuperX (version >= 0.6.0). The following steps will help you create a temporary access to twitter.com (allowing your data to be synced to SuperX automatically), and clean up afterward.

Setup a temporary twitter.com page

Since the domain change, we won't be able to access twitter.com without redirection. The following steps will help you use Proxyman to get a temporary access to twitter.com

  1. Download and install Proxyman from proxyman.io, then open the app on your PC
  2. On your browser, visit twitter.com (let it redirect to x.com)
  3. Now on Proxyman, from the left menu, select Domains > twitter.com
  4. Right click on https://twitter.com, then select Tools > Map Local...
  5. Replace the code below into Map Response with HTTP Message format, then click Save
HTTP/1.1 200 OK
X-Powered-By: Express
Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8
ETag: W/"c-Lve95gjOVATpfV8EL5X4nxwjKHE"

Connection: keep-alive
Keep-Alive: timeout=5

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html><body><div id="root"></div></body></html>

Now, open https://twitter.com on your browser, you'll see an empty page.

Create a Map Local rule for twitter.com

Once you have completed the above steps:

  1. Open https://twitter.com on your browser
  2. Click SuperX icon to open, it'll start syncing your data to SuperX automatically. It should take a few seconds
  3. Wait until you see Login with Twitter, the sync process is completed.

Now, you can open https://x.com, login with your Twitter account to get started.

Cleaning up

Once you have already moved all the data, you can remove Proxyman's Map Local rule to restore the twitter.com redirect behavior

  1. From Proxymap menu, select Tools > Map Local
  2. Click on twitter.com matching rule
  3. Press Delete key, or - (minus) button on the bottom left of Map Local panel
